Night Vigil

A night of prayer, adoration and Holy Mass

Everyone One night 0 dates ahead

An evening-to-dawn vigil of praise, adoration, confession and Holy Mass, open to all. Come for the night and go home in the morning. No fee is asked.

You will go home able to…

  • Praise and worship, the Word, and adoration through the night.
  • Confession available throughout.
  • Holy Mass before dawn.
  • Open to everyone — no booking fee.

The night vigil begins in the evening and ends with Holy Mass before dawn. It is open to anyone who wishes to come, with or without a booking, though telling the office you are coming helps us prepare.

Nobody stays on after the vigil, so no rooms are given out. Bring a shawl for the chapel and anything you need for the night.

What it costs

There is no fee for the night vigil. A free-will offering may be left at the office.

Before You Come

Things families ask us

The retreat is preached for a household — parents and children together. Come as a family rather than sending one member. If you are unsure whether your situation fits, ring the office and ask; nobody is turned away for asking.

Yes. The retreat is built around parents and children taking part side by side, and that is what makes it different from a retreat one person attends alone. Tell us the ages of the children when you book.

Please plan to. The retreat is designed to be lived through from beginning to end, and much of what it does depends on staying. If that is genuinely impossible for your family, speak to the office before you book.

Either ring the booking line between 9 in the morning and 5 in the evening, or send a request through this website. Nothing is paid online — a request reaches the office and the office rings you back to confirm the place.

Please ask the office when you ring. They will tell you what is expected for the retreat you have chosen and what it covers.
